We offer three different Aviation Meteorology courses designed to suit people with varying levels of experience. Our courses usually run on Saturdays at our venue in Bath. We can also arrange bespoke training events at a location of your choice.
The subject areas covered include all the topics required by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), providing a comprehensive guide for pilots. As well as receiving your own copy of the course notes, course delegates will also undertake practical activities to re-enforce their learning.
Our Marine Meteorology courses cover the essential weather topics for keeping safe and optimising your voyage both around the British Isles and abroad. We cover the topics needed for sailing qualifications and competency. Great for those new to sailing through to experienced skippers.
Our courses are normally held on Saturdays at our venue in Bath, but we can also arrange bespoke training events at a location of your choice. The course is a mixture of lectures and practical exercises. It covers all the key areas of meteorology you'll need offshore, giving you the knowledge you need to sail safely.
This range of short courses is designed for specific industry sectors, such as energy and agriculture, where the weather can have a significant impact on important commercial decisions. Our Weather for Industry courses will teach you about weather processes and events which can affect your business. Applications include wind and solar farm productivity forecasting, gas demand through to wheat harvesting. Our courses provide you with the knowledge you need to minimise disruption to your business and maximise opportunities, benefiting you and your customers.
Courses are between 1 and 3 days long depending on your required topics. They are held either at our venue in Bath, or we can provide in-house training at your workplace.
